"Are these clothes sanitary?"

SO tonight while I was making dinner, Madeline was helping me with the laundry by taking the clothes out of the dryer and putting them on the couch to be folded. Matt and I were in the kitchen talking, and I heard Madeline ask, "Mom, are you sure these clothes are sanitary?" I stopped for a minute and even asked her to repeat what she said because although I knew I had heard her right, I couldn't believe that she had said that or even knew that word. So Matt and I start cracking up, and I asked Matt where she learned that word. She came out and told me that the elephant on the movie Tarzan asks his mom that when he is sticking his toes into the water. "Mom, are you sure this water is sanitary." I don't know if that means that my kids watch WAYYY too many movies or if she just picks up on the funniest things. Anyhow, it gave us a good laugh and of course, Madeline knew she was being cute.
