Our newest member of our family, Dorothy, went back to heaven today. She was with us for a little over 36 hours. We are not sure what went wrong, we just know that she "got sick" and left us. Madeline was a very sad little girl, and my heart broke as she called her daddy on the phone and cried that Dorothy had died. She asked many questions as to "why and how" this happened, and I wasn't much help in the answer department. Madeline refused to flush her down the toilet, so we made a grave for her in the backyard and buried her this afternoon. It was a sad moment for my sweet 3 year old.

Geez that is sad. One more reason I can add to my "reasons not to get a pet" list.
We are sad to see Dorothy go, but that's many many bowl cleanings that you don't have to do. Chase can relate to Maddie's loss as we lost 3 fish (he only thought it was one :) ) Give Maddie loves...
