Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Matt's 30th birthday on Sunday. It was a funfilled day, considering it was a sunday! We started with a yummy breakfast of hashbrowns, eggs, ham, bacon, orange juice and "mini pancakes with fresh sugar and huckleberry jam" (for Madeline of course) We opened presents which included a shirt, bathing suit, an "I love you, Daddy" book from Madeline and "My Dad is Great" book from Lauren. Then I topped it off with the coveted "Harry Potter" which Matt has been dying to get his hands on. I'm surprised he hasn't finished it yet!!! Then we went to church, came home and had a delicious pot roast with vegetables and sourdough bread with nasty fake potatoes! (We didn't have any real potatoes) Then Matt's nephew and nieces came over for some "semi homemade" ice cream. No one has come up with a "chocolate chocolate chip cookie dough" ice cream flavor yet. Well, that is Matt's fav, so we bought the chocolate ice cream and the cookie dough, took it home, thawed the ice cream, chopped the cookie dough, mixed it all together and refroze the ice cream. It was fantabulous! We did the same with Vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries! It was a great 30th birthday for daddy and we are so glad he is ours!
