VIVA LAS VEGAS!

With Matt starting a new job (which is going well), we decided to take a quick trip down to Las Vegas over the 4 day weekend. 4 days, because there was a teacher inservice for the Meridian School District on Friday and then MLK Day on Monday. So it worked out well for us. When I say quick, I mean quick. We left on Thursday morning and drove to St. George. It took 10 1/2 hours to get there and by the end, mommy was DONE!! The girls did great, but I was tired of the car. We spent the night with my aunt and then Friday morning headed down to Mesquite, NV to hang out with our best friends, the Araves. We spent Friday with them and on Saturday, went to Logandale, NV to see Matt's sister Amy and her family. After a long day of politic watching (which I despise by the way) we left for Vegas. Had dinner on Saturday night with our friends Calvin and Karissa and got to Matt's parents house really late. Sunday we went to our old ward in Vegas, which I *thought* started a 9am because that's what LDS.org told me. When we realized that church was at 11am, we went and visited one of Matt's friends from High School. It was great to see everyone from the old ward. We had a great dinner with the family on Sunday afternoon and headed to Utah on Monday morning. Spent the night at my uncles house on Monday night and headed back to Boise on Tuesday. One hour outside of Boise, Madeline started screaming that her ear hurt. We ended up at the Quick Care that night with an ear infection for Maddie. I'm glad we were only 1 hour away from home! All in all it was a successful trip. We apologize to those that we didn't get to see or get in contact with while we were there. We thought of each of you, but there just wasn't enough time to do it all. Darn that 12 hour drive between our two cities! :-) We'll get you next time, we promise!!! We didn't take many pictures, but here are a few that we did get!

That is a fun short trip, but the driving is hard. My brother lives in Idaho too. So far I have only been there once and it was quite the trip.
