Disney on Ice

Before Mitchell was born, we got tickets for the girls and me to go see Disney on Ice as a mommy/daughter date. We decided to keep it a secret from the girls until the night of the show. We didn't tell them where they were going or what they were doing, just that there was a surprise and it was going to be really fun! The girls had NO idea what we were doing or where we were going right up until we got inside the doors. Not even with the disney princess shirts we bought for them to wear. When we got through the doors and Madeline realized where we were, she looked at me and said, "Are we at Disney on Ice? Thank you, thank you, thank you mommy." It was so fun to hear that all night long. The hugs, the kisses, the gratitude that came from my 5 year old was awesome!!! Lauren loved it too but didn't know how to express it like Madeline did. She was glued the entire time.

Our seats were in the Mezzanine on the front row, so the bar was right in our view. I scoped the arena for closer seats and when I found then, I grabbed the girls and we booked it down the stairs to get to them before anyone else. We ended up straight on to the show 2 rows back. It was amazing. We were so close we could see the sweat on the characters faces. It was awesome!!
I loved just watching the smiles on my girls faces as they were mesmorized by what was happening on the ice. Nothing like that feeling....

Madeline has now decided that she wants to take ice skating lessons so she can perform with Disney on Ice when she grows up. That's the plan for today anyway....

Madeline trying to guess where we could possibly be going!

Lauren thinking about it herself

Not a clue!

Before the show

Aladdin

Belle and Gaston
Belle and her prince
Marlin, Nemo and Dory
The infamous Mickey and Minnie
Belle and the candlestick (can't remember his name)

and that's where my camera died....typical!

Disney on ice is a tradition every year with my sister and the kids. This year is High school musical on ice, the girls are way excited for that. Mason just wants to go and see the monster trucks.
