Thanksgiving in Logandale

Yes, we took our 3 kids, put them in a car and travelled to Logandale, NV (10+ hours total) to be with Matt's family this Thanksgiving. I'm not sure who struggled more...the kids or me. I'm not a big fan of long car trips, so my philosophy is usually, "If I can't fly, I don't need to be there." But, being the holidays and being that I love my husband and my kids (who wanted to see their cousins so badly) I sacrificed and took the trip. We did break it up and stayed in UT going down and coming back, so I wasn't so much of a pain. We never did make it all the way to Vegas, but just outside. It was lots of fun being with our family again since we don't get to see them too often. On the way home we got to spend time with my side of the family, laughing, playing and of course, eating (again) which was a total blast. So fun to have such great people who are not only our family, but also our friends!

Yummy food, good company and great desserts! made for a successful trip. It was fun to have so many kids running around and for the cousins to be able to see each other again. Madeline and her cousin Kara are 13 months apart and such good friends. We do wish we lived closer, but we love to see them when we can!

I'm with you when it comes to the traveling thing. I HATE long car rides! I kinda feel like it's waisting my time and that I could be doing something much more productive if I could just hurry up and get there.

Fun family memories.

I love the picture of Mitchell (sideways)with his sisters. So cute.

Great pictures! Mitch is so cute! That would be a long drive. We just drove to Utah and it felt like forever let alone clear to Nevada! ;)

Great pictures of the kids! That is a really long drive, but sometimes it is worth it to see family!

Those are such good pictures! Yes, you are brave, I too hate long car trips...we have debated going to AZ to visit Shawn's mom and siblings but it is just too long of a car ride! :)
