Thunder Mountain Line

Grampa Logie came back to Idaho for a week with us after Thanksgiving and Disneyland. We decided to take our Saturday and go on a train ride up through the mountains. We had a great time. The train started in Horseshoe Bend, ID and went up through the canyon along the Payette river. On the train, the kids wrote a letter to Santa, sang carols, ate treats, and even got to go outside the train into the cold. When we got to our destination, we were able to get off and have cookies and milk, see, talk to and sit on Santas lap, take a picture and sit by an outdoor fire. The kids loved the carolers, and the carolers love them. On the way home, Santa came onto the train to talk to all the kids. We choose to sit a caboose behind everyone, so Santa didn't see us. He forgot to come talk to the kids, so I went to find him and lucky for us, we got some one on one time with Santa. It was amazing and boy were my kids filled with questions. Madelines biggest question is how old Santa is. Santa didn't have an answer. Mitchell actually let Santa hold him and Lauren, well, she just likes to look.

It was a successful trip in all. Thanks for the fun memories Grampa!
