Valentines Day

Have I told you how much I love and adore my family? I truely have the best family ever. Matt and my kids are so thoughtful towards me and those around them. We usually don't give gifts for Valentines Day, unless it's something little. This year was a little different. Having just moved into our new house, my walls are pretty bare. I have (had) a wall in my family room that was just bare as could be. I didn't know what to do with it, because heaven knows, I'm NOT an interior designer.
But all that changed on Valentines morning.
This is how it all started....

Madelines decorated present for mom...
Lauren's decorated present for mom...

Mitchell's decorated present for mom..he's decoration enough

My 6 presents. They are all amazing.
The unwrapped presents... I was totally speechless. It was perfect for my empty wall.

Then when we got home from church, dad had surprised his girls with a bouquet of flowers. The girls were thrilled. Matt said Mitchell bought the balloon with his own money. Mitchell is totally into balloons right now and apparently he "wooed" to sales lady into giving him this balloon for his sisters. 2 weeks later, the balloon is still standing. It's filled with Mitchell's love.
Mom with her presents..minus a sleeping Mitchell.

Here's how it looks on my filled wall now. I absolutely LOVE them and stare at them all day long!

Dinner was delicious too. Matt made us steak and french onion soup, and I cooked up some potatoes, rolls, and asparagus wrapped in proscuitto. It was amazing.

And we went all out and got dad a bag of Lindt Chocolates. They're his (and Maddies) favorite.
