Like I always say, if ya gotta be sick, be sick all together.
Thursday night Maddie was complaining of a tummy ache. My stomach was a little sick too, but my kids always have a stomach ache, you know? So I disregarded it and sent her to bed.
Maddie made it through the night, thank heavens, but when she woke up for school, she said it was still sick and then she threw-up. I'm glad she can make it to the toilet in time now. That was 7am and the start of a great day!
Lauren never complained of a tummy ache. Never once. In fact, I was getting Mitchell breakfast and Lauren told me she wanted a waffle. So I popped one in the oven and when I turned around, she was gagging and threw up on the floor. Luckily we made it to the toilet for the rest of the time, but that confirmed sicky #2.
She fell asleep upstairs, on the floor, watching Dora. Notice the garbage can close by. She never needed it again, thank heavens. She did sleep for close to 3 hours.
Matt was also up throughout the night with a sick tummy. Because the girls were sick, we knew there was something going on in the house, so he called in sick and spent the day in bed.
Mitch and I dodged the bullet and it's been a few weeks now, so I think we're safe this time round. We are glad about that.
