Backyard Project

When we bought this house, we knew that the backyard was going to need A LOT of work. What we didn't know is HOW MUCH a lot of work was.  When we got started, we figured it would be a little patch where we could set up the swingset. Little did we know, that before it was over, we would have almost our entire backyard covered in top soil.  We are super excited about the future for our backyard, but in the meantime, we have a muddy mess!

The "Before we get started picture" (it was very uneven and had lots of dead spots)

The dumptruck that delivered our top soil...notice Mitch enthralled with the big truck

Right onto the driveway

While the adults worked, the kids ate ice cream from SONIC!

See....

Some dumped, others raked...

while we started out with a "few" helpers, we ended up with "a lot!"

Guys from the neighborhood just kept showing up to help. It was amazing!

The boys had a great time helping too.  (McKay, Blake and Canyon)

This is the area the swingset will go on.

This is the other side of the yard. I told you it was covered in soil!

Ahhh..When the grass finally grows, it will be beautiful!

This is the infamous "bar" the girls like to play on!
We are so grateful for the support we received from our neighbors. We only knew a couple before we started this project and by the time it was done, we knew a handful more.  I love being in a neighborhood full of friendly, helpful people!
