Authors Tea

To go along with Madelines "All About ME" project, her class presented an "Author's Tea" party for the parents. All the kids created and published a book, and then invited the parents to school to listen to their books. It was so creative and so fun.
Madelines book was called "FROG FACTS."
She is so proud of her book.

Madeline did her own research on frogs, planned out her book, picked the cover and then published it.

They also talked about and created a "Billy Goats Gruff."
They made billy goats out of potatoes and toothpicks, and the troll out of toilet paper rolls.
It was super creative.
This is right up Madelines alley.
She loves arts and crafts and being creative.
These are her friends Heather and Austin.
They were in her group for the "Billy Goats
Gruff."

For as much as Madeline struggled at the beginning of switching schools, she has really learned to love the school and her teacher. She was put into what is called a "looping class" where we, as parents, have the choice to leave our kids with the same teacher Maddie had for 1st grade, in 2nd grade.
We have chosen to do so. I think it was a good choice.
