Kara's Baby Shower

My youngest sister Kara and her husband Christian are expecting their 1st boy in November.
So...my family and I travelled to UT to celebrate at a baby shower with her and her friends.
My mom was in charge, but she asked if I would be willing to help with some of the decorations and games.
Being that I am NOT crafty, nor creative, I called on my friend Alisha to help me out.
I had just seen on her blog that she threw a Jungle Themed shower, so I called her up and she came to my rescue. She already had most of the decorations and what she didn't have, she helped me make.
What an awesome friend. And she's so amazingly talented.

This is the diaper cake Alisha helped me make. They really are very easy.

We hung a monkey, upside down from the chandellier...and my grandma had the idea of hanging some of the clothes on a "vine"
Welcome to the Jungle!                                                Our sign wouldn't stay up outside, so Madeline and
Lauren stood and held it..but not for very long!

The party gifts. Almond Joy pieces from the JOY-ners. Creative, eh?
Fun times with good company and friends. We played a fun memory game that included words from pregnancy that cooincide with candy bars. It was really fun.

another fancy diaper cake!

We hope you had fun Kara. It was fun to throw you a shower and we are excited for baby boy to come in November...and if you get lucky enough, October!
