Homemade Scarecrow

I voluntereed to be the "room mom" for Madelines class this year.
Along with that came the nomination of creating a homemade scarecrow to represent her 2nd grade class.
Now, for those of you that know me, you know I'm NOT crafty in the least.
So, I stirred over this task for weeks.
I was trying to figure out how and what to do with this scarecrow.
Knowing I was getting no where with my thoughts, I called upon my amazingly talented
and super crafty friend Alisha.
She came to my rescue and in a few hours one monday afternoon, we were able to
knock out this cutie.

we nicknamed him "george"

George held onto some apples, candy corn and a scentsy candle
(dontaed by my neighbor Shannon)

Each class in the school had to be represented by a scarecrow.
Alisha and I decided to make a "smaller" scarecrow rather than your traditional full size.
The scarecrows were auctioned off at the school carnival, and I wanted to make something that someone would want to take home and put in their house.
All of the scarecrows looked really great.
Most of the were full size and completely decked out with goodies.
I didn't ask for help from anyone in the class or any money in the making of George
so with all things considered, I like the way he turned out.
From what Madeline tells me, her teacher, Mrs. Shanahan bid on this scarecrow and won.
It's nice to know it went to a loving home.
