It's a BABY!

So when we found out we were having our last baby, we thought it would be fun to wait it out until the baby was born to see what we were having.
We waited and waited and then I started having anxiety about not knowing.
So, when we had the ultrasound, we chose not to find the sex of our baby.
Dr. Lovelace turned the screen away so we couldn't see any shots.
I *think* I saw girly parts, but of course, I wasn't sure, and didn't want to ask.
The doctor wrote down the answer on a piece of paper, and we left.
Before Thanksgiving, I took my friend Elice to the store with me, picked out a boy outfit and a girl outfit, handed her the envelope, and walked out of the store.
Elice opened the envelope, bought the correct outfit and took it home and wrapped it.
We took the present down to Utah with us so that on Thanksgiving day, my family could open the present while we opened the envelope with Matt's family.
We let Madeline open the envelope with the answer in it and this is how it all went down...

so ready to find out what we are having!
seeing the answer for the first time..daddy tricked us and wrote on a different piece of paper,
IT'S A BABY!

Lauren very excited to see if she's going to get the sister she wants!

the answer is revealed!
IT'S A GIRL!

and Madeline is NOT a happy sister.
She wanted a baby brother!

That's a great idea! But the reaction is so sad. Those girls will be glad they have eachother in about 20 years. I love my sisters!
