Mitchell is a trouble maker. My girls were curious and into lots of things, but I really don't remember them making the messes that Mitchell makes. Tonight it was a mess of Kool Aid powder all over my bedroom floor. As you can see, my carpet is not kid friendly, and definitely not Kool Aid friendly. When I first noticed the mess, I tried to take my little hand held vacuum and vacuum it up, but it just smeared itself into the carpet. So, being the bright mother that I am, I grabbed my resolve and sprayed it all over the powder. Now, before you laugh at me, which I know you are doing, Matt was gone to school, I was by myself, I am 30 weeks pregnant, and totally flustered. So yes, I added something wet, to the powder which made a bigger mess than I needed to. Which in turn caused more frustration for me against my kids.

After a few hours of scrubbing, using my deep steam carpet cleaner and no luck, Matt found me a solution on line. I was hot water, dawn dish detergent, a white towel and my iron. Yes, I ironed a wet cloth onto my floor, and yes, my carpet is stained a pretty hue of blue and red, but for the most part, crisis averted!
