Laurens Preschool Graduation

This year was an a.m.a.z.i.n.g year of preschool for our little Lauren. The first few weeks were really rough and she was not too happy to go to school. She cried many days, and they spent many days in the hall with her trying to calm her down. When Lauren started school she wasn't familiar with her letters or numbers and writing her name.  Small Hands uses a program called "Handwriting Without Tears." I don't really know the premise behind it all, but I do know that it works. By the end of the year, Lauren was running down the hill to get into the classroom, and she knows all her letters and numbers. She can recognize them and she can write them. I was a little concerned for her at first, but now I'm not worried about her at all. She is super ready for Kindergarten.  The best part is that bear bear was able to go to school with her every day, and graduate with her too! Lauren LOVES her bear bear!

Lauren had one main teacher, 2 assistant teachers and the director of the preschool to give presents too.
I bought some little watering cans at the dollar store, filled it with some hugs and kisses and then made little signs into flowers that read:
Thank You for Helping Me Grow. Hugs and Kisses, Lauren.
(thanks Keri for the flower signs)

Mitchy was standing at the front of the room, singing all the songs and doing all the actions. Lauren taught them to him at home throughout the year.
