Eagle Fun Days 2011

We decided to give Eagle Fun Days a shot again this year. And again this year, it was nothing short of disappointing. The first year we went, it was so much fun. We told everyone about the it the following year and that when it all went downhill. It's never been the same since and actually gets worse each year we go. We can blame it on the ecomony, or whatever, but it's really pretty lame to be honest.  The best part is the water fight at the end of the parade.  They used to have the big fire engines come thorough to spray the sidelines, but apparently last year, some lady got her expensive camera wet (and ruined) so she threatened to sue the fire department.  Hence, that ended that part of the parade. Seriously, it only takes one, right?  BUT..it's still a good time with those that choose to participate.

what I didn't get a picture of is when one of the trucks drove by and dumped an entire bucket of water on Mitchy. He was NOT a happy camper and was actually screaming pretty hard. He was soaking wet, so I had to carry him to the car to get a towel, and Maddie had forgotten to put the towels in the car. Poor kid was so upset, but he eventually got over it. Not sure he'll be interested in the water fight next year! I have to admit, I got a good chuckle out of it, because yes, it was really funny!
