National Night Out

Our neighborhood celebrated National Night Out this year.
It's where everyone in the neighborhood gets together to get to know each other better.
There were activites for the kids, pizza donated by dominos, juice donated by McDonalds, and prizes to cash in on.
We had a fun night!

earning tickets by picking pennies out of the pool

there was an art competition
Madeline won for her age group
the prize was a big box of chalk

Mitchy enjoyed playing on the playground and in the sand.
We went straight to the park after swimming, so Mitch had a wet suit and a wet swim diaper on.
Little did I know that when you leave a little guy in a wet swim diaper, it will chafe their legs.
Poor little man came home and could barely walk.
It was not fun for him and it broke my heart to see him in so much pain.
Note to self: Don't leave your little man in a wet swim suit.

I didn't get any picture of Lauren because she spent the evening with her friend Halle and her family.
Lauren loves her mom, but she really wants Shannon to be her "2nd mom."
She tells me on a daily basis that she wants to live in their family.
One night away from home and I think she'd change her mind!
