January 2012

I'm going to do something a little different with my blog this year. Since I haven't been good about keeping up with it, I think it will update once a month on the last day of the month. And instead of doing it by date, I will do it by the month. So you will get a rundown of what happened during our month instead of daily or weekly. This way I can still have it documented for my journaling purposes, and I don't have to feel guilty for not updating like I should.
It's a win win.
Unfortunately, I didn't take too many picture this month.
Kind of a bummer but it means one of two things.
We were super busy and just didn't take pictures,
or we didn't do anything fun enough to warrant pictures.
Anyhow, I did take a few.

Alexa has learned how to pull up on things and we find her in the funniest places

and she gets cuter by the day

Mitchell went to his first dentist appointment

Good thing there was a movie to watch because he was less than impressed to have to open his mouth

Lexi thought she was a barbie doll and decided to play in the barbie doll house.
she fit just perfectly.

Matt and Lauren went on a daddy daughter date to Wahooz.
Lauren was in heaven playing in the germ infested playhouse.

She won lots of tokens and got lots of candy. You know, the kind that costs $10 to play games for 5 tootsie rolls.

But she was so excited to play laser tag with dad. I don't think they got to it this time around, but they will be going back for sure!
Instead, they chose to ride the bumper cars
This is pure joy
can you see how happy she is?
We had our first snowfall of the season.

Mitchy was so excited about it. He loved watching it from the window. Mom was too chicken to go outside with him. BRRRR

Later in the day, Lauren and Halle made their way outside to build a snowman

the worked well together

Best of friends. and I mean BEST!

Mitchell made his way outside later that afternoon too. He enjoyed bouncing the snow off the trampoline

But found it to be a little cold not too long after being outside.

Lexi loves her bath!

I love that she loves her bath
and that she can take a bath without a baby tub.

Little Lexi turned 10 months old.

She enjoys torturing her brother

and scooting around on the floor. she's pretty quick in the army crawl. she hasn't figured out how to get up on all fours yet. i'm ok with it.
Mitchell sports his spiderman hat whenever and wherever

Lexi can sit up on her own

oh, and climb stairs. yes, we're in trouble.
we did lots of other things this month too. but like i said, this is all I have. I guess I will be more conscious of taking pictures of my kids.
I sure love these little rugrats!
