My Cake

You will have to excuse the quality of these pictures because our camera is broken, (yeah, bummer, we know) so it was taken on the phone camera. But we had to document this occasion of me making my first roses for the cake and finishing it off. This class was lots of fun, and I hope to take the next class in the near future. I'm also hoping for a career in cake decorating...ok, just kidding, but I have been hired to make a birthday cake in May, so I'll let you know how it goes!

This past weekend I was also able to "get away" to UT ALL BY MYSELF. I went to throw my little sis and bridal shower down in UT and while we were there, we made a quick trip to St. George to see her fiance dance at the Tuachan. Well, he has a broken leg, so he didn't dance, but the team he is on did, and he had a speaking part, so we were impressed anyway. I can't believe my little sis is getting married. It was so fun to be there, be kid free (although I did miss them) and just laugh and laugh and laugh with my mom and sis, because that's what we did. We laughed all weekend long! (Sorry, no pics, I didn't take my camera, although if I had, it would probably still be working right now. bummer.)

thanks for the words of advice jilene. as far as producing enough milk, lui and i joke that these wells will never dry up! i pumped yest for about 15 min on each side and got about 7 oz. we try to keep a few bottles of it in the fridge so lui can do just that - take a turn in the night, which is what he did last night. around 2 i got her to sleep finally and he woke up and fed her and changed her around 4. so that was really nice. i got up again tho around 6 and did it all over again. now it's about 9:30 and someone's a hungry girl. love ya!

p.s. your cake looks awesome! (even on the camera phone!!)
