First Day of First Grade

My first born went to first grade today. I was very excited for her and very ready for her until last night. Then all the jitters started. She, on the otherhand, was totally excited for the day.

I didn't even have to wake her up. She was up at 7:30am all on her own. She didn't really want to eat breakfast, which is going to be hard because she never eats right when she wakes up, but if she doesn't eat, she's going to be hungry.

We got all ready and for the first time in 6 years, she didn't even fight me on doing her hair.

She rode her bike to school, got it all locked up and then her jitters set in. She saw lots and lots of kids, and she wasn't on the "little playground" anymore, and she got scared. She stood pretty close to me, buried her head in my stomach and said she didn't want to go anymore. BUT....as soon as the bell rang, she was off and that was it. So much for needing her mommy.
She looked darling. So grown up. I just can't believe my first born is in first grade.

I did sneak in and take a picture of her at her desk after school was out. I sure love my little girl...

cute!! How did her day go? She looks a little bit tired at the end of the day. Was she ready to go back this morning?

Fun to get a blog invite!!! I think I have grass envy from your front yard pictures. Hope all is well in Idaho, we are still in Vegas, Mark just finished Respiratory Therapy school and hopefully will find work soon, since I am ready to stop working full time. Come check out our blog too, I'm still open but we will see how long I continue that. Anyhow, your girls are beautiful and the little guy so handsome! Looks like you guys are having fun!

I think sending the kiddos to 1st grade is way harder than kindergarten. It's like the real deal. I'm glad you both made it through the first big day. I hope it's going well.
