4th of July Festivities

The morning of July 4th, we awoke to the sweet aroma of Matt cooking us breakfast.

MMMM...it was sooo good!

Strawberry and blueberry compote, blueberry pancakes and bacon.

(I made the bacon!)

We topped it off with whip cream and served it with orange juice!

It was delectible!

Lauren enjoying her breakfast! That's a BIG plate of food for a little girl!

While Matt and I did dishes, the kids played on the swingset!

We attended church that day and then came home and our neighbors were celebrating with some fireworks.
We took the kids down to enjoy the festivities.

There was body painting, which my kids were super excited about!

Madeline met a little friend at the gathering. She looks like a good influence, right?

Just kidding, yes, she is holding a beer, but it was her dads.

We just happened to get the picture at the right time.

It was pretty funny!

Madeline totally enjoying her time. This is Matt's favorite holiday, and is becoming Maddie's too.

Who am I kidding? EVERY holiday is Maddies favorite!
