Since the Araves are in town, we wanted to take the chance to go on a double date.
We hired our favorite babysitters, Rylee and Taylee Smullin to take care of our 6 kids.
We took Lexa with us.
Matt came up with the idea to find different burger joints, order one regular burger and fry and split it in four.
It sounded like a lot of fun, so we did it.
We started at smashburger.
The cashier looked at us like we were crazy and we just giggled through the whole experience.
YUM. We ordered fried pickles here instead of fries.
yeah. it was that good.
Next we hit Burger Express.
It's a knock off of In N Out.
I didn't think it was as good.
We were the only ones in the restaurant, and again, the cashiers thought we were crazy.
We came up with a different story for each place.
I think this place we told them we were watching our calories, so we were going to split the burger in fours.
The looks we got were hilarious.
Then we headed downtown to The Boise Fry Company.
Shanae liked this place the best.
I found it to be quite different.
I felt like I was eating a salad on a bun.
Everyone else liked it.
I do admit the fries were really good!
And their sauces were amazing.
The last place we went to was Five Guys Burger and Fries.
I liked this place the least.
BSU was playing tonight, which means the city was empty because everyone was home watching the game.
There were about 4 workers in the restaurant, and it took more than 20 minutes to get one burger and fry.
And then it wasn't even that good.
Just your regular plain burger.
Then we walked around downtown Boise for a while to show Ammon and Shanae what they are missing out on! :-)
In the end, everyone had a different burger they liked the best.
Ammon and I liked Smashburger the best.
Shanae and Matt like Boise Fry Company.
They were all good and it no one ever felt sick. There was enough time in between traveling to allow your stomach to settle, and it broke down to one full burger each.
It was a super fun date.
Next time we will try a different venue.
