Last year I did a co-op with Lauren and some friends in our ward.
This year, we decided to enroll her in a in home preschool.
For about two weeks before school started, she had some anxiety about going to school.
I kept telling her it was going to be a blast, she would meet new friends and love it!
She wanted to go back to preschool with her old friend.
I wondered how it was all going to pan out.
All morning she was super excited. Talked about school, got herself dressed,
let me do her hair (a miracle in itself), ate her lunch, took pictures and
got into the car without being asked.
She talked and laughed the 5 minute drive to school
and the second I turned into the driveway, the tears started.
She no longer wanted to go to preschool.
I walked her down, her clinging to my leg, and took her to class.
She was NOT a happy camper.
This is what I got when I asked her to give me a smile once we got to preschool.
I almost got a smile out of her. She gave me a curtosy half smile.
She was so sad. And so was her momma.
When I picked her up, they said she did great! She was sad for a few minutes, but after that,
she participated and had a good time.
I am very proud of my little girl for making it through her first day of preschool!
